This is our pet Snowflake. He is a very cute and cuddly hamster. The kids LOVE him and he is surprisingly very easy to care for. The only problem is Charlie can open the cage herself. I have used clips, tape and tie wraps to secure the hamster habitat, all to no avail.
Me: "What are you doing?"
Charlie: "Nothing"
Snowflake: "Help"

Me: "Charlie, what are you doing?"
Charlie: "I have Snowflake in the microwave"
Snowflake: "Please, help me"

Me: "Charlie, can you take Snowflake out please?"
Charlie: "I don't want to"
Snowflake: "I'm begging you, please help me"

Me: "Charlie, Snowflake is a pet not a toy, please take him out"
Charlie: "OK"

Snowflake: Thank you!"

....5 Minutes later.

I love these!

I have this friend Rhonda, who is very creative and makes these amazing blankets as well as diaper bags, bibs, onsies, pajamas and a bunch of other stuff. I keep coming back for the blankets which are ridiculously soft. Max has a pirate one and I ordered a zebra one for Abby and a cheetah one for Charlie, they are adorable. She just created a bunch of new stuff so Felicity and I drove up to check it out. These are a few of her blankets. I also put a link on my blog. Check it out.

Charlie's Birthday!

I don't think Charlie could complain about her birthday. It was almost a two day celebration with dinner, presents and cake the night of her birthday and train rides, pony rides and ice cream the next day. She loved every minute of it.

Charlie chose to eat at Macaroni Grill for her b-day dinner. The kids love the bread there.

We took the train north to a petting zoo. It's a great ride along the beautiful coast.

Charlie loves horses. She was in her glory!

Max joined in on the fun.

Abby loves anything that looks like it could be a cute little family.

On the way back home. The kids were tired....

... but not too tired for frozen yogurt with Rob, Felicity and Gracey.

Happy Birthday Charlie!
We love you!!

Jan 24th was my 29th birthday. All I can say is...time flies. This year will be my last year in my 20's, so I guess I better start living it up!

A few girlfriends took me out to a great Sushi place. My favorite part was when the restaurant turned out the lights and boy band (can't remember who) music started playing while they brought out the amazing cake Felicity had made. We had a great time! Thanks girls!

When you get my age :) birthdays don't seem as special as they used to. This year Abby's excitement was so big it was hard not to have some of it rub off on me. She would hop in my bed every morning with bright eyes and a huge smile and say "Mommy, 10 more days until your birthday!". She did it every morning. I received hand made cards everyday from her saying "Happy Birthday, your the best" or "Happy Birthday mommy, I love you". She could barely sleep the night before my birthday. It's way too much fun having kids.

This clip is early in the morning, hence the puffy eyes:). Max put together a little happy birthday song with his invention kit. Note Abby's excitement.

Abby designed my birthday cake and with a little help from Charlie and Nana, it turned out perfect.

What birthday of mine would be complete without some projects? I love projects and with my parents around to help (thanks mom and dad) I was able to do a bunch of them. Too many to list, but here is a clip of something my Dad and I cooked up in Max's room.
